The Business Manager is responsible for the overall administrative activities and implementation of strategic projects for the banking and lending business. The role will require working closely with both regional and global counterparts and the APAC business and product heads. These tasks may include managing external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Manager coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs as necessary. Manages ad hoc projects as needed.Responsibilities:Partner with local and regional business management team to ensure alignment of business goalsManage a team by providing technical knowledge, coaching, evaluation, determining hiring etc.Assist leadership and stakeholders with implementing projects, determining strategies, and defining/providing metricsPrepare materials, record minutes, and follow-up as needed on items for business committees and/ or regular business meetingsSeek out sources, track, consolidate and analyze ad-hoc and regular business requestsDrive implementation of business-driven projects across functions, working closely with relevant senior leadershipProvide input into and recommend technology change, process improvements and control framework enhancementsSeek out and ensure corrective actions are implemented for control related issues and remedial action is takenCommunicate business knowledge, product knowledge, and requirements to business and internal support functionsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Qualifications:6-10 years of experience in project management or business supportExperience with banking and lending products preferredDemonstrated expertise of Microsoft Office product suite; basic macro coding experience and proficiency in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint preferredConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferredThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
