About TUMCREATETUMCREATE is a multidisciplinary research platform of the Technical University Munich (TUM) at the Singapore Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE). We are joining forces with universities, public agencies, and industry for the advancement of future technologies.A new project “Singapore’s Pathway to Carbon Neutrality: Analysis of New Technologies” between TUMCREATE and NTU has been established. The aim of the project is to identify the best options for Singapore’s energy supply in order to reach carbon neutrality and to analyse how Singapore can maintain its position as a global fuel hub. Several models will be developed to identify different possible pathways. These models include various dynamic simulation models including carbon capture, transport and storage options to be developed by the candidate.Please visit *************** for more information about TUMCREATE.Objective of the position:We are looking for a Research Fellow for the development of dynamic simulation models for carbon capture, transport and storage options. This is a full-time 2-year contract with extension possibility based on project requirements.Job Responsibilities:Analyse and understand processes of CO2capture, transport, storage and handling.Develop detailed models for the aforementioned processes.Connect these models to models dealing with hydrogen production, storage and transport.Integrate these models into models for energy supply.Provide technical supervision to research associates working on other dynamic simulation modelsJob Requirements:PhD degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 - 8 years of experienceKnowledge of chemical processes, state-of-the-art process simulation tools (Aspen Plus, Hysis, UniSim Design, CHEMCAD etc.) and dynamic process simulationsProgramming knowledge (preferably Python and MATLAB)Ability to interact with other researchers and define a working structureGood English writing and communication skillsGood interpersonal skills for working in an international research team with people of different backgroundsWhat TUM CREATE offers youCompetitive salary that commensurate with experienceMedical insuranceGood amount of leave/vacation daysVibrant, modern and positive working environment in SingaporeCampus-sited office location with a host of facilitiesIn-building perks including gym, game room and coffee roomApplicationsPlease send your application including cover letter and CV to **@tum-create.edu.sg.We look forward to your application.-
