Principal Engineer (Broadcast IT), News Production SupportDescriptionDescriptionThe position requires Principal engineer to lead a team of IT engineers to carry out tasks related to IT security assessment, remediation and mitigation of security risks, carry out security patching, Operating System updates, monitoring of critical infrastructure, endpoint security, corrective and schedule preventives maintenance for broadcast IT system and support implementation of broadcast IT system projects.Supervise and communicate with a team of IT duty engineers, scheduling daily/weekly tasks to larger goals, and providing context and supportSupport internal and external audit process for relevant compliance concerns. Coordinate and track all technology and security related audits including scope of audits, units involved, timelines, auditing agencies and outcomesSupport the management of tech-related risks for Mediacorp by reviewing processes and ensuring that adequate controls are in place to mitigate risk.Stay up to date and informed on developing regulatory concerns and changing IT and information security trendsParticipate in internal or external cybersecurity related exercises, as requiredProvide technical support to broadcast IT equipment and systems in News Studios & News Post-Production and asset management system, Outside Broadcast production van, News Room Computer System and etc.Implement product strategy, product improvement, feature prioritization, costing, and releaseWork with different business units to provide technical solutions to enhance existing operation and setupEvaluate and recommend new broadcast IT equipment and system.Lead the project implementation of broadcast IT systems and infrastructures.RequirementsDegree or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Security or equivalent. CISSP, CompTIA Security, Certification in Information Technology Security field is an advantage.Microsoft certifications such as MCSA preferredProject management experience preferred.Relevant work experience (3-5 years) in cyber security related field preferred.Related experience in cloud technology and cloud security best practices preferredNetwork troubleshooting skills of IT devices maintenance and experience with management and configuration of networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls) will be preferred.Ready to perform occasional shifts and standby duty to support broadcast system and infrastructures.Mediacorp is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace where talent thrives.
