Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine invites applications for:Research Assistant in the lab of Associate Professor Nagaendran KandiahThe newly formed LKC Dementia Research Centre (Singapore) is a multidisciplinary institute that aims to carry out cutting-edge high impact clinical neuroscience, cognitive and neuroimaging research in characterizing the underpinnings of dementia in Singapore. The Research Assistant will assist with relevant strategic research objectives and contribute to the overall academic culture of the LKC Dementia Research Centre. They will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team which includes team members from across the clinical neuroscience, neurology, neuroimaging and analytics fields. The Research Assistant will support multi-faceted dementia-based research programs, through conducting impactful research with the primary focus on the diagnosis and management of early-onset and late-onset dementia.Job Responsibilities:Assist in the provision of research support within a neuropsychological/laboratory – based setting.Aid with conducting basic literature review and study-related statistical analysis where applicable.Support the preparation of manuscripts and presentations, where applicable.Coordinate clinical recruitment and blood draws.Perform research administrative duties.Skills & qualifications:Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Nursing, Neuroscience, Biological/Biomedical/Life Sciences or equivalent.Keen interest in clinical research and hypothesis testing.Good IT literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Prioritization and time management skills.Track record of publication and other research outputs would be highly advantageous.Experience in data analyses and implementing statistical analysis using statistical software such as Graphpad, SPSS or R, would be advantageous.Experience with neuropsychological assessments is desirable.Fundamental laboratory management skills and basic human fluid samples processing and biochemistry/molecular biology techniques, would be advantageous.Hiring Institution: LKCIn line with Singapore’s nationwide Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS), employees must be fully vaccinated to return to the workplace, unless certified to be medically ineligible.
