Job Description

Job DescriptionAs part of the IPB Digital Advisor & Client Solutions Product team, the IPB CRM Product Manager, is responsible for leading the efforts to re-imagine the relationship management experience, ensuring an integrated end-to-end journey. Through partnership with the business, advisors, senior leaders, designers, and technologists, the Product Manager will shape the digital product strategy and align priorities to ensure we’re solving our user’s biggest problems.As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product vision and strategies to come up with effective solutions to problems that are valuable (our users choose to use them), viable (the solution works for the business), usable (the users can figure out how to use) and feasible (our engineers have the skills and technology to implement them).You will be required to quickly learn the constraints of our business from Trading, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Privacy, as well as others, to succeed. The successful Product Manager must also contribute a deep knowledge of our users and the data about how they engage with our products, coupled with tracking of industry trends and the competitive landscape to provide wholesale Product expertise to the business.You will primarily partner with Technology and Design but consistent engagement with Regional Investment Heads, Solutions Product Development and Operations stakeholders through the entire product management lifecycle will be necessary to ensure the businesses needs are met.Candidates should have excellent communication skills, the ability to influence and negotiate, be able to work as an individual contributor as well as a team, strong skills around the Agile framework, an equal appreciation of the discovery and execution process and able to quantify delivery into success measures.Core ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze the current-state of IPB advisor workflows across the advisor lifecycle: CRM, Onboarding, Wealth Planning/Advice, Trade Execution, and Portfolio Analytics & Reporting. Develop future-state along with quick-wins to improve incrementally as we drive the strategic state. Work with advisors and key stakeholders in the region to prioritize opportunities.Lead the idea-generation process: ideas, concepts, designs and roadmap for how to bring the designs to life ‘on-screen’ for our advisors to improve their experience.Continue to drive change throughout the organization in partnership with digital/design, technology and our stakeholders by building a detailed roadmap to transform advisor platform, workflows and applications.Participate in our IPB Advisory Council: The monthly forum for senior advisors to engage and partner on our strategy, roadmap, priorities and projects. This group of advisors will be looking for your leadership to realize the transformation agenda.Be very ‘in touch’ with Advisor needs. Must be assessable, ‘on the Advisor floor’, and engaging in gaps in the workflow, processes and experiences.  Build requirements: Evaluate business problem, request or regulatory requirement. Understand business background, risks/gaps, current operating procedure and systems workflow. Document business requirements.Lead local IPB projects: Be the lead product manager in partnership with digital, design and technology.  End-to-end management and lead the product delivery across the full-lifecycle, from ideation and research to customer-facing design, advisor design, and technological development to production testing, piloting and broad rollout.Embody true “customer-obsession” in identifying and leveraging user data, industry trends, and varying forms of customer and advisor feedback to shape our onboarding design and roadmap QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in a Product Management/Development, Strategy or Business Analyst role, preferably in financial services; prior Wealth Management experience helpful. Former experience as an Advisor is a strong plus.Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics or Economics is preferred.Experience in product reviews, interaction with advisors, developing concepts and designs for future state workflows. Ability to drive concepts to execution.Ability to manage multiple products and managing product deliveries with varying timelines, priorities and complexities.Strong influencing and leadership skills to ensure execution and engagement across our leadership, advisors and execution partners. Ability to build successful internal partnerships across an organization and build consensus on priorities.Strategic mindset to ensure a proper roadmap is built for our IPB Advisor Experience. Effective communicator with excellent written communication skills. Ability to crisply articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence.Highly self-motivated and ability to remain calm under intense pressure. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and manage priorities.Strong understanding of different technological development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and design techniques with ability to successfully lead regardless of approach.
