Job Description

Organizational StructureReports To: VP, Development Commercial AsiaJOB SCOPESummary of Job ResponsibilitiesThe Cost Control Director works in line with all areas within Development & Project Management, Finance, Procurement and Operations departments and is responsible for all project cost controls and forecasting.Job ResponsibilitiesLead the Cost Control Department including external consultantsPreparation of monthly and quarterly project reports encompassing project status, budget reconciliation, monthly changes and forward-looking projections of final cost and value. Reports to incorporate all aspects of the projectTake the lead and liaise with all project departments to gather information required to maintain a current project status. As required challenge supplied dataOversee the preparation of projected Spend Summaries (cash flows) including updating projections to reflect actual spendAssist and oversee in the implementation, monitoring and reporting across all Insurance policy relatedLead the preparation of Change Authorizations to gain Executive approval for large uses of project contingencyAssist with the preparation of funding requests to Executives for approvalReview and improve the current and established processesJOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree/ Masters in Quantity Surveying or similarPreferred experience in Cost ReportingAt least 15 years experience in the construction industry preferably in a large international development or construction organization, including recent experience of similar projects. Has an excellent understanding of Project Life Cycle including Estimating, Budgeting, Procurement, Project Delivery, and Reporting.Developing and maintaining effective relationships with project teams.Regularly demonstrate good leadership behavior at all levelsAbility to work within a constantly changing environmentAbility to work to tight deadlinesPreferred experience working for Developer on Client sideYou agree that it is a condition of employment that you adhere to and abide by all rules, regulations, policies and procedures including without limitation the rules of conduct of the Company.
