Job Description

Job DescriptionARDS was created with the mission to help improve the quality, integrity, and reliability of the firms critical data covering the Instrument and Pricing domains and sits within Securities Services. The organizations objectives are to deliver business impact through fit-for-purpose data, improve data capabilities across multiple lines of businesses (LOBs), implement data controls, and deliver reference data. ARDS establishes expectations that drive consistent data governance practices, develops technologies and processes to support data governance capabilities, partners with LOBs to embed data governance best practices and capabilities, and ensures sustainability by refining, measuring, and improving the ability to manage data.Within ARDS, the Instrument Reference Data Operations teams provide high quality Reference Data to its subscribers from major external market providers under a single operating model. Asset prices and instrument attributes are sourced, validated, mastered and distributed via J.P. Morgan’s strategic Reference Data architecture and is used for trading, risk management, fund valuation, settlement and regulatory reporting.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned Data Analyst in operations at the Associate level. The role is based in Singapore and will provide operational support and data management for our Securities Services, Markets and AWM businesses. The role will manage data quality and exceptions for reference data operations, working with a team of data analyst. The role will work closely with professionals across Instrument and Pricing. The individual will ensure a robust control framework and effective global operating model are being used to service the APAC businesses. The successful candidate should be able to provide strategic initiatives on improving reference data operations.Key Responsibilities: Responsible for following the global operating model is effectively servicing the instrument and pricing requirements for the APAC businesses strongly focused on Securities Services and Markets business at JPMLeverage data tools, languages, platforms, dashboards and technology to advance JPM data strategyWork with the team responsible for the creation/maintenance and management of exceptions of instrument reference data on our core platformsProvide subject matter expertise support to downstream teams and clientsEnsure proper controls are in place to reduce financial risks, implement procedures to enforce controls and ensure controls are adhered toResolve client queries promptly and professionallyContribute to ongoing developments of the instrument control processAs the team covers the APAC region, staggered shift work and working on public holidays is requiredAd-hoc project work when requiredQualifications:Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (in Finance, Science or Technology) or equivalentAt least 3+ years work experience in Financial Services is requiredExperience leading or managing teams/people preferredStrong market data vendor knowledge/experience, i.e. Bloomberg, Refinitiv is requiredKnowledge of industry activities, corporate actions, index tracking and capital markets is requiredStrong understanding of broad financial instruments and products required Self-motivated and proactive with the proven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlinesStrong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detailDemonstrate ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and interact across departmentsDemonstrate customer focus and follow-up skillsAbility to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environmentAbility to analyze, mine and query data to formulate solutions and efficienciesGood understanding of databases, data models and data structuresWorking knowledge of dashboard tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) preferredWorking knowledge of data languages (SQL, Python, R) preferredWorking knowledge of data management platforms (Denodo, Talend, Alteryx) preferredWorking knowledge of data tools (OwlDQ, UiPath, MS PowerApps, MS Power Automate) preferredAbout UsJ.P.
