Job Description

Job DescriptionAs a member of Technology Architecture, you will work with clients from design to implementation, partnering with infrastructure product owners to ensure their products can be consumed while meeting regional and local requirements. You must be able to partner effectively across the organization and have a strong understanding of infrastructure and cloud technologies.The ideal candidate will have a strong curiosity of technology, and a good understanding of the product-based organizations. Close collaboration between developers, engineers, architects, and business users is required, and you should be a generalist in these areas while being able to dive deep into areas of technical expertise. There is strong collaboration between other members of infrastructure architecture and product lines, and you should feel comfortable knowing when to utilize other subject-matter experts for topics as needed.This is a very flexible and influential role that offers the opportunity to explore evolving technologies, work with product teams on enhancing product features and capabilities and assist customers with their application designs. A good understanding of cross-product integration challenges across applications and infrastructure, and modern cloud design principles needed in modern application architectures will give you the ability to succeed in this role.This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:Experience in infrastructure products Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, networks, storage, data management, etc.Experience in cloud-native systems architecture or engineering, including system design reviews.Creating models for new systems and working with customers to address identified issues.Designing reusable patterns/templates and reference architectures to guide system designers.Creating effective partnerships, cooperating with clients, leaders across our business, and application architects to define technology and architecture roadmapsWorking closely with partners on understanding the evolving product landscape and ensuring regional/local requirements are aligned with infrastructure product strategy.Working with global partners to design infrastructure solutions that address regional/local regulatory requirements (e.g. data localization) Providing guidance to product teams on cutting-edge infrastructure platforms under development and assist them with getting design approvals to operate.Experience using cloud computing products to design secure systems.Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.Providing strategic and tactical direction to the product teams. Creating technology roadmaps, making assertions about technology direction and determining their consequence for the technical strategy and hence the architectural approach. Working with product leads to communicate technical direction to the wider technology communityPossessing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of multi-platform technical environments. Serve as a leader, consultant, mentor, or tutor in technical architecture areas of expertise to staff throughout GTIMinimum Qualifications:BS/BA degreeMinimum 7 years of system design experience.Demonstrated experience with regulatory landscape as it pertains to technologyExpert knowledge in at least one and broad knowledge in others (e.g. Compute, Storage, Network, Cloud, DevOps, etc.)Minimum 3 years of secure systems design experience in a regulated environmentExperience collaborating with business representatives to understand requirements and collaborating with system architects and developers to ensure successful design.Technical depth and ability to rapidly understand and communicate the impact of solutions and technology.Have a broad and deep expertise in software and infrastructure architecture or equivalent amount of time in development with a minimum of five years focused on large system development and with a good understanding of infrastructureSelf-starter with excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with a ‘can-do’ attitude
