You should have interest in infectious diseases and relevant experience of working in a laboratory setting. You should be experienced in bioinformatics of whole genome sequencing of microorganisms and its application in disease outbreak investigation, in order to provide bioinformatics expertise to benchmark tools and pipelines for genomic data analyses. You should be competent in developing own or customizing existing software analysis workflows to meet specific scientific project needs, and be confluent in any one of the programming languages (eg. Perl, Python or R). You should be able to coordinate work with fellow scientific officers, collaborators and project managers, and also provide technical advisory in data management and hardware requirements. You should be responsible for maintaining and updating the computing systems used for bioinformatics analysis, and providing trainings when necessary.Job Requirements Ph.D in Computer Science, bioinformatics or life sciencesExperience in bioinformatics in whole genome sequencing of pathogens for at least 4-6 yearsStrong command of English LanguageGood oral and written communication skillsWork effectively in teamsHighly proficient in Microsoft word
