Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:Responsible for the overall leadership & operations of the Hotel in accordance with the objectives and quality standards established by the Hotels/Brand. Drive the business to achieve its maximum potential. This includes, but not limited to, related Operating Departments, maximizing quality and revenues at the same time achieving bottom line budgeted profits. Lead by example and inspire team to focus on outstanding guest service / experiences through the establishment of quality standards training, empowerment and maintenance of high morale. The Hotel Manager will be expected to work on weekends and deputize in the absence of the General Manager.PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:Champion of Brand vision for product and service delivery in term of Rooms and F&B divisions (Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, Engineering, F&B Service, Banqueting and Culinary). Updates/improves on P&P and SOPs as necessary.Manages profitability (revenue & expenses): close coordination within divisions and with other divisions like Revenue & Sales & Marketing Teams to ensure maximum rooms inventory for sale. Constant expense control. Participates in P&L meeting, Capital Expenditure & budget preparation aligned with business needs. Directly or indirectly drives upselling and revenue. Controls departments’ payroll and business expenses.Monitors guests’ comments/feedback (through Brand review portal, feedback, Trip Advisors/other relevant on-line portals like Booking.com, Agoda.Com, Ctrip, etc and verbal /written feedback through other channels, VIP/frequent guests’ interaction.  Responses to guest compliments and complaints. Drives F&B business plan to attract business and upsell opportunities including festive period promotions.  Works with Marcom department to drive and execute F&B marketing plan.Analyzes service, system & process issues and identifies trends. Works with relevant Departments to develop an operational strategy that is aligned with brand standards, ease of process & improve productivity in creative ways and lead its execution. Key focus is Check-in/Check-out experience time and customer stay experience. Maintains consistent engagement with external networks in the hospitality industry to enhance image of our company for the purpose of industry co-operation, Rooms/F&B Division team awards and recruitment. Ensures that the hotel complies with all laws and regulations of the country and its relevant authorities and acts as a good corporate citizenPerforms supervisory or executive functions such as influence or make decisions on manpower issues such as recruitment, discipline, termination of employment, assessment of performance and reward.ABILITIES / KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS:5 - 10 years experience as EAM Rooms / Director of Rooms with in-depth Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering and Security knowledge and proven track record in 4 to 5 stars large inventory hotels in Singapore.Strategist, dynamic, strong leadership, team player, revenue and customer/employee satisfaction score driven, self starter, display a professional image at all times in terms of grooming /social etiquette and interaction with clients.We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
