The roleThe Assistant Finance Manager will be part of the in-market Finance team and his/her key responsibility would be the General Ledger function.The incumbent will be required to review the work performed by Financial Shared Services Team (i.e. GBS) which includes trial balance, ledger postings, account reconciliation, tax computation, GST submission and yearly and monthly closing matters in a timely, accurate and compliant manner (e.g. Financial Reporting Standards & Company’s financial framework, policies and procedures)The incumbent will be required to work closely with the business units, GBS to resolve any operational issue. He/She will liaise with internal, external auditor or any regulatory body; work with the GBS and business unit to review, streamline work processes to drive efficiency, provide advice and support on any new business development; and as a superuser for Blackline, you are required to provide guidance whenever is need.Responsibilities:Act as the GL lead for CMS/IMPL/IBE including journal approval and balance sheet reconciliation approval as per DOAManage Aftersales related enquires for BMS/CMS/CenturyReview fixed asset capitalization and ensure aligned with company fixed asset policy for all entitiesReview intercompany reconciliationsPrepare intercompany agreementsHandle Annual insurance renewal for group and handle major insurance claimAct as Superuser for Blackline systemProvide Management’s benefits in Kind upon request by HR teamManage CMS/IMPL/IBE tax pack, tax computation, GST reviewReview the draft statutory report and ensure local statutory report follow local statutory requirement for CMS/IMPL/IBEPlan and conduct monthly/yearly stock, monitor the stocktake process to align with InControl Framework for Parts for BMS/CMSLiaise with external/internal corporate secretarial department on dividend declaration and company secretarial matters excluding treasury related board resolutionsTo assist in any ad-hoc initiativesQualificationsDegree in Accounting or related field.
