In total there will be 10+ entities. The design will be based on assessment of each jurisdiction’s laws and license availability, our talent and staffing requirements, segregation of liability and risk, availability of banking facilities, and legality of inter-entity payments and transactions.SG License and Compliance - Determine the licencing strategy for any SG based operating entity.Other Jurisdiction License and Compliance - Similar to the above, with priority for HK, TW, MY, EU as operating entities; and tax advantaged jurisdictions for main entities (with no staff).KYC and Compliance Process Design – Tiered design, factoring in jurisdictional requirements, business requirements, competitor analysis.Crypto Revenue Recognition - where we have the option to have services revenue in either fiat or crypto. Assess the risk levels and reporting requirements for crypto - for each services company jurisdiction (SG, HK, TW, MY, EU).Crypto Payments to Staff - where we have the option to pay staff performance based compensation in fiat or crypto. Assess the risk levels and reporting requirements for crypto - for each service company jurisdiction (SG, HK, TW, MY, EU).Inter-Entity Transactions - draft master services agreements between entities, taking into account: transfer pricing regulations, reporting requirements, tax implications, banking implications, etc.Securities Law - related to potential token offering. Assessment for major jurisdictions SG, CN, HK, EU, JP, KR, UK.Commercial Law - support NDA, KYC and contract requirements for our business contracts (operations business or investments related).Job RequirementsSolicitor admitted to practice in Singapore or other common law jurisdictions.Corporate, legal and regulatory experience in banking and financial services. In-house experience in a crypto asset business or financial services business will be highly advantageous.Minimum 5 years in private practice with a recognized law firm working in financial services, plus a minimum 3 years’ experience working in the Legal Dept of a bank or financial services company.Strong team player and good business sense.Possesses solid legal technical expertise relevant to the financial services industry (e.g. Payment Services Act, Securities and Futures Act, Financial Advisors’ Act, M&A experience) as well as sound business and people judgement sense.Must be hands on – building department and processes from ground up.Must be resourceful – there will be a lot of workload and this role must find solutions such as outsourcing.Focus on implementation not only opinion – company strategy and risk profile will ultimately be determined by Executive Committee. Legal will need to implement this strategy as well as propose risk mitigation optionsWorking days : 5 days 9am - 6pm
