Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our highly regarded team at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP.The role presents an opportunity for an accomplished and motivated business developer to support the lawyers in the firm on pitches and proposals, client targeting, strategic event support and other business development and marketing activities, with a focus on supporting our Disputes Practice Groups, and to a limited extent, 4 of our regional offices (CLMV).We are looking for someone to join the team who has a very strong work ethic and a genuine interest in working for a law firm.Job Responsibilities:As Business Development Executive, you will report to and support the Business Development Manager and work closely with the firms stakeholders, particularly those in the Disputes Practice Groups and our CLMV offices. You will help to drive, implement and oversee Business Development activities including, but not limited to:Prepare responses to clients request for proposals, pitches and Gebiz tenders, including curating relevant deals lists.Conduct research, summarise information, and communicate intelligence (market trends / opportunities) that can be used for targeting and prioritisation purposes, including the identification of new leads or opportunities to expand our relationships with existing clients.Research existing and prospective clients as well as competitor activity.Develop a good working knowledge of priority sectors, market trends, deal activity, etc., that the firm can use strategically to identify and win clients.Assist the Business Development Manager with client relationship management.Support the firm’s participation in sponsorships, conferences (particularly the IBA and IPBA conferences), memberships (particularly the firm’s Lex Mundi membership) and other key profile-building opportunities.Assist with content development for presentations, proposals, and pitch materials.Assist with client specific development events, including identifying attendees/guest list, invitation drafting, locations, development of materials, facility liaison, registration duties etc.Requirements:Two years of experience in business development and marketing preferred (law firm business development / marketing experience preferred.Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, law or a related discipline.Excellent project management skills, keen attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and execute multiple ongoing projects often under tight deadlines.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Knowledge of, and experience with disputes practice groups, including Commercial Litigation, Competition, Restructuring and Insolvency, Fraud/White Collar Crime, Shipping, Insurance, Appeals & Issues.Experience with Intapp or another CRM program is not essential but preferred.We offer a competitive and attractive remuneration package and career development opportunities.Interested candidates are invited to apply online with a comprehensive resume, via the APPLY NOW button below.We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
